About MBUG-PC

The Monterey Bay Users Group – Personal Computer (MBUG-PC) is a California non-profit public benefit corporation organized for educational purposes. MBUG-PC evolved from a small group of new PC owners who got together in May 1983 to share their new-found knowledge with each other. Incorporation was completed, and California non-profit status granted April 26, 1988. Tax-Exempt status as a publicly supported charity (501c3) was granted in October 1989. In addition to the contact with others of similar interests, the benefits of joining MBUG-PC include notice of occasional local meetings and technical support by a group of knowledgeable MBUG-PC members. MBUG-PC welcomes all those who want to become more involved in the use of personal computers and are willing to actively participate in club activities to pursue that goal.

  • MBUG is open to all individuals interested in the IBM-PC (and compatible) family of personal computers.
  • Members receive email notice of local group meetings as they are scheduled. Contact Membership Chairperson at mbugmemb@gmail.com to request addition to our mailing list. There is no membership fee.
